An unclear dark brown beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of prunes. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and prunes.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, dark brown with a neat, dense and lasting - almost cappuchinoish - beige head leaving laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, nuts and brown sugar. Sweet, full body with plenty of roasted malt and a lightly coffeeish touch without really being burned at all. Subdued bitterness. Quite lovely. 160107

ZBF2008: From bottle. Pours dark brown and golden, clear, little off-white and lacing head. Fruity, spiced and mild sweet aroma. Flavour is a nice blend of caramel malt and spice, good balance. Underlying light yeasty note. Lingering caramel finish with a declining spice flavour.

Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
If I'm bot misinformed this blending beer was previously brewed at Vanderlinden, but now Boon has taken over, and also ramped up the alcohol significantly. The colour is mahogany and there is no head. There are malt and dark cherries in the aroma. It is sweet and clean with complex woody cherry flavours and a touch of balsam. The finish is discrete and velvetty.

Bottle. Malty, sweet aroma, hint of liquorice. Dark brown colour, some floaties. Big bright head, very stable. Flavour is a bit thin, with some liquorice. Fruity liquorice aftertaste. Quite nice, but would be really great with less water. Reminds me of a dunkel rather than a Belgian type beer.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe). Amberish brown colour, small off-white head. Lemon, fruit and malts in aroma. Flavour is the same along with a lot of spices and some nuttyness.
