Semi-translucent and buffed copper in color with an oily haze on top that vanishes mere seconds later. Burnt honey and cardboard set the stage while aromatic reinforcements come by means of circus peanuts, nectar, cloverleaf, butterscotch and buttered rum. Nougats and artificial almond flavors come full circle and reunite with the sodden cardboard characteristic. White chocolate melds with butterscotch, moving into a hazelnut bran breakfast cereal melody with a hint of sweetened soy milk hanging on the end. Circus peanuts are still detectable, as well as the two Christmases ago, faded and stale holiday nougats. Evaporated milk and the innards of malted milk balls give off-flavors to the town’s most heinous frozen custard rendition. Effervescent sting fades into banana-toffee bubblegum at moments end, as it fades into the poster child of mediocrity. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Apr 7, 2006 This was labeld Duke’s Dodgerhator, so the brewer either changed the name or distributes this under this name in different areas (namely NorCal?). Anyways, this beer was a mess. Aroma was horrible. It reminded me of going into the bathroom in a bar and smelling that godawful urinal smell. Appearance was nice enough with a copper color that wasn’t too dark or light, with a nice head. Mouthfeel was medium bodied. Flavor wasn’t any better than the flavor with scorched sugar and wet cardboard. Pretty horrible. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA

It’s slightly sweet yet bitter with a slight fowery note and a slight mustiness. Medium bodied and smoth with a touch of dryness. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Nose of light roast and chalk, dark caramel and some toasty biscuity wheat, light acidic yeast. The flavor is chewy, nutty and full of peanut butter. An interesting blend of tart and citrusy with dark and malty. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 11, 2006 1 liter bottle, purchased at BevMo in Walnut Creek. Pours peachy copper color with a thin head much lighter than expected for a Weizenbock. Wheaty aroma, brown sugar, decaying vegetable matter and hints of cardboard. Sweetish flavor, golden brown sugar, bitter herbs and some oxidation. Medium body and lightly carbonation. Not so good. Lubiere (4551), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2005 Bottle is named Duke’s Dodgerhator (not hater - hator). Received from a beer-of-the-month club. Pours a cloudy amber from the bottle without any head (off-white head while pouring disappeared almost immediately). Aroma (what there is of it) consists of spices and malt. Flavor is more spicy than malty, but only an average amount of flavor. Mouthfeel is better than average in that is mouthfilling with a long finish. This is a drinkable beer in the same way that Rolling Rock or Labatt’s Blue are. I don’t know how much that says about this beer, but I could drink it all day if I could.
