jaymobrown (1343), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 8, 2009 Light. Decent. Bottle. Wet. Warm out for Chicago, so that might have skewed everything. This went down super easy. Some malt and hop character. Hmm... not really that much interesting. I guess a beer that is there to drink and not to think too much about. I’m not really thinking now. Some white head. Meh. williamherbert (461), Syracuse, New York, USA Nov 8, 2009 An attractive glowing dark-orange. Large puffy head. Hazy. Lots of upfloating chunky bubbles like an orange lava lamp.
Pale malt powers through the head. A mild, flowery-sweet hop. Terrific hop/malt balance. Only complaint is that it’s too mild.
The taste is a solid woody hop that balances the mildly toasted malt. The crystal malt mingles nicely with mild caramel notes. Reminiscent of a thick, hoppy pilsner. Some fresh yeast rounds it out.
The feel is a nice creamy feel. A little prickly, but in a pleasant way. It’s a very good, hoppy, well-balanced IPA. Well done, Dundee. Much improved from it’s previous incarnation. moose85uofa (15), Alabama, USA Oct 31, 2009 Not near as bitter as the IPA, but a decent choice for a cool, windy night. Dastrn (115), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Oct 29, 2009 Bottle from sample 12 pack.
poured a clear amber brown with a 2 finger head.
nose was yeast and bread.
taste is a little too sweet for the style, but with a good balance between malts and hops.
a bit of dry finish, but nothing remarkable.
All around kinda boring, but not bad really. jjuf1853 (467), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Oct 21, 2009 Bottle from sampler pack. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off-white head with limited staying power. Very mild aroma with a mixture of roasted caramel malt and hops. The flavor has more of a hop bite to it with some lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. ghostmonkey (182), budd lake, New Jersey, USA Oct 16, 2009 bottle . . pours amber wit a white head . . aroma is subtle hops . . tastes just ok, not a bad beer, but nothing special mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Oct 14, 2009 Part of a sample pack purchased in NYC. Most of the beers tasted the same. Nothiing stood out. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Oct 14, 2009 Pours gold with a white head. Smells of pine sol. Tastes earthy and bland with some stray resiny notes.
