The aroma is a bit citrusy and flowery, as it should be with that hop profile. Pours an reddish color, with a white creamy head. Just the right bitterness and kinda hoppy, could be more hoppy but it’s ok. Doesn’t overwhelm my palate either. Dacrza (253), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Crazy that I’m drinking a sampler of Dundee products after bathing in Honey Brown for a good portion of my college days... here goes: golden orange body with a steadily effervescent movement; a bubbly head that settles into a half-inch off-white cloud--not bad! Fresh spruce and spring-like fluttering scents, light and soft... spritzy... thin and soft through the palate--weak on presence, long on aftertaste... the scent didn’t portend the taste which is a bit lagerish and heavy at the throat... I had doubts--which is never good when sampling a new beer--a veiled attempt, but drinkable... sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2008 Amber color; the same white, almost creamy head as the other Dundee’s beers. Nose malty and piney; light citrus. Flavor predominantly bitter, piney hops; orange; some bread in the finish. Medium-light body. Drinkable but a long way from the best for the money. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2008 This actually reminded me of an IPA overall. Good healthy amber color/white frothy head. Smelled moderate of juicy fruity hops. The flavor is of moderate fruity hops and caramal, but watered down. Ends on a clean bitter somewhat refreshing note. I think this is one of dundees best beers next to the IPA, but nothing compared to countless other brews of this style out there. Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 18, 2008 The best thing about this beer is the appearance: Nice rich copper with a frothy white head. Aroma was offputting and the flavor was fruity hops. Thin and watery. Fruity bitter finish. Not very good to me. fonefan (11640), VestJylland, Denmark
