Aroma was barely noticeable even with my schnozz completely in the glass. Pour was a nice deep gold with just a hint of a head. Taste was somewhat bland. A mix of lackluster malt with some hops in the finish that didn’t bite nor bark. Wouldn’t try again. I’ll bet this is the first rating to use the word schnozz. Aroma is biscuity malt, hints of roasted chestnuts, goo flowery citrus hop. Taste is a similar bag good malt backbone balanced with good quality hops. This is something i really could punish alot of. emobassfoo (178), Webster, New York, USA

Aroma has a few spikes of hops; maybe a little bit of something fruity/sweet-like. Flavor is decent compared to other pale ales. A few hop bites. Kind of filled me up. Compared to the other Dundees, this pale ale is near its cousin, the IPA, in caliber. Just seems a bit too watery. But 9 bucks for a CRAFT PACK is alright in my world. Just waiting for the IPA to come back out. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Updated: Dec 23, 2007This is how beer is supposed to smell. Too bad it doesn’t quite live up to the aroma with the flavor. It does taste more like a weak IPA than an APA. Piney hoppy flavor with a decent amount of malt to balance it out. I would prefer more malt, but at the price there’s little to complain about. wcampbell (582), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Decent pale ale. Has a piney, well defined hop character to it. Reasonably complex and strong flavor. Light bodied and carbonated. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Aroma is pretty nice. Caramel malt and big floral, piney hops. Nice flavors of resiny hops and caramel malt as well, but really not enough of them all the way through the beer. The flavors come and go. Actually reminds me a lot of Dale’s Pale Ale with that soapy hop flavor. Actually a well made beer where the cascades come in and play their role, but are balanced enough by the others to prevent it from being a generic cascade APA/IPA. Despite being a little empty at times (but not watery) this is a pretty solid attempt at the style.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 21, 2007 this is a pretty average beer. nothing really stands out, but on the bright side....It’s not bad, drinks easy and does have a slightly dry finish. Not a bad pale ale. Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Nice clean amber color complete with a flakey light tan head. Hop flavor clearly present but not overdone like a lot of American Pale Ales. That said it’s definitely on the weaker side in this category. Good bitterness and with faint hits of caramel. Drinkable though and very smooth without much of an aftertaste. Worth a try for sure.
