| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 28, 2007 Nice copper color with a thin white head. Slight hop bouquet with a malt aroma background. Initial flavor is a touch of hops but the hop flavor all but leaves after the initial tasting. Sweet camel finish. Thin mouth feel. This is by no means a pale ale, perhaps they should reclassify it as a mild or maybe a best bitter. 17thfloor (1505), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 28, 2007 orange/amber pour with sudsy light tan head. Sweet malt aroma with defined hops. Pretty decent.... somewhat thin but is crisp... malt is barely noticable in the flavor but decent amount of hops is. Medium light bitterness. I would say the distiguishing point of this beer is that the malt doesnt overpower the hops which happens often in stong hopped americans. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 23, 2007 Rated 8/19/06: Good to see JW Dundee’s expanding from more than their trademark Honey Brown Lager. Aroma grabbed me at first with a nice hop presence but it wasn’t backed up by anything. Good copper color with a real thick head that soon diminishes leaving some lacing, carbonation seems rather strong for an ale. Mouthfeel is a touch too watery and thin. Flavor also falls short, the hops needed for a decent pale ale can be found but there isn’t enough malt to back it up. Drinkable but bland for a pale ale, solid effort though by a rather large brewery. SudsMcDuff (1703), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2007 Semi-dark in the glass with a diminishing soapy head. Vibrant hop aromas are simple, but true. Lots of sticky caramel on the nose. Plenty of hops on flavor, with a smidgen of hop bitterness overlaying the caramel and grain. Short on the palate, not too impressive in that department. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | May 17, 2007 Pours a sparkling amber/orange with a rocky off-white head. The aroma is of caramel, cookies and a faint citrus fruitiness. Medium-bodied and almost creamy, it finishes with a lightly metallic palate. I found the flavor to be a pleasantly sweet, toasty malt up front with a moderately bitter, citric finish that IMO didn’t pare well with the caramel malt. I think it would be a good brew with a burger or some other food, but as a standalone, I wasn’t blown away by the blend of flavors. It’s not a bad APA, but certainly not my favorite. onehotsexychic (101), Albany, New York, USA
