| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 12, 2006 Nose is like a fresh mown slightly damp paddock. Pours quite orange with a persistant, pure white, creamy head. Medium hoppy - not so much as many in the style. Refreshing in the finish although with a slightly off-putting cloying sweetness detracting a bit. This is ok, but I would choose the Sierra Nevada pale over it any day of the week. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Pours a crystal clear amber with an off-white head that lasted through the entire glass. Pleasant citrus aroma. This is not a particularly flavorful beer. The citrus in the aroma was difficult to detect. Long, bitter finish. The bitterness subsided a bit as the beer warmed, which I liked better. An average pale ale. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 30, 2006 I had a 12 oz bottle of this Saturday night (10/28/2006) at a friend’s Halloween/50th Birthday Party...
Light amber with an ivory crown. Aroma is malt and some light citrus in the hoppiness. Flavor is much like the aroma, but is a bit weak. Slightly sweet, but well balanced by the gentle bitterness. No soapiness like the JW Dundees IPA. Light to medium body. Goes down pretty clean and smooth. I guess this one is just slightly better than the JW Dundees Amber Lager... | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 30, 2006 Sept. 30, 2006; 12 oz. bottle. Pleasant hoppy mouthfeel defines the experience. Some weak, citrusy notes are detectable, but the too-faint aroma and watery body drag this down quite a bit. Not a brew I’d seek out. alobar (1035), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Slightly hoppy aroma-weak! Soapy head that disappears quickly. Clear amber color-attractive. Tastes of hops-some bitterness. Tasty, decent balance. Body a bit on the weak side.
