Amber coloured beer with a medium white frothy head. This beer suprised me by having more of an hoppy aroma that the IPA but where as the IPA has a more punchy hoppy taste this one didn’t share those characteristics quite as well and whilst very nice it came across as being a little bit on the safe side, like the IPA a touch sweet and slips down well but just not quite up there with it’s stablemate. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2006 I detected a lingering bitterness in the finish along with a medium palatte and some citrus flavors. The cascade hops stand out but the flavor is relatively subdued. The alcohol has been stepped up a bit to 6.2% and that gives it a decent kick. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Really not any aroma like you’d expect. Taste is simple; only a small amount of hops, a little bit more at the end. Goes down quickly but just isn’t that good. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Sep 4, 2006 Clear light gold/copper, with a big, creamy off-white head. Somewhat metallic nose that’s a bit musty, with some sweetness and grassy hop notes. Flavor is rather light, bready, somewhat bitter. Some metallic twinge, no real hop flavor to speak of. jzzbassman (847), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

Very slight aroma, barely imperceptible hops in the background. A little sour, slight bitterness, not bad but not anything I would regularly seek out. Just really missing a hop character that I would associate with an APA. Strykzone (1485), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2006 This is an attractive beer with a golden hue and a small light colored head. The foam disapates quickly leaving almost nothing behind. First taste brings a nice balanced experience. There is a mild bitterness matched by a light citrusy bite. It gives the impression of being a well crafted beer and is refreshing, crisp, and clean. The aroma did become very stale by the end of the glass but otherwise this is a very nice beer. melvin980 (184), Pennsylvania, USA
