Its a mini Keg in the form of a glass bottle made of thick aluminum and carries one pint (16oz) of beer. This idea made the beer taste as fresh as if where on tap straight from the brewery. I dont know what it tastes like from the glass version but this brew was delicious. My favorite Pale Ale to this day. Very nice barley wort background with an elegant hop combo up front. Nice and crisp, very refreshing and satisfiying, it is full flavored and tastes authentic. As good as a homebrew. The aroma is nice and toasty too.. thumbs up. Pours on the light end of the pale ale spectrum, under a bustly head as noisy as Rice Krispies. First sip shows a good balance of toasty malts and a mix of American hops. Something odd in the mouthfeel, though. Comes across with a metallic twang, or perhaps the brewing water is too hard. An interesting drinking beer, though, that may suffer in comparison to more extreme examples of this style. Perhaps if they upped the alcohol a bit more and let it age a bit. I can say it’s a notch above their more common Honey Brown Lager. hopfiend (17), Seattle, Washington, USA

Great summer ale--may satisfy pale ale drinkers and IPA drinkers alike. It has some almost-sour aftertaste like a belgian, but not as complex. konair1 (64), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Carbonation is quite active, almost as many bubbles as your standard fizzy macro lager. The aroma is faint hops & malt, nothing outrageous. Taste is citrusy (grapefruit & lemon) hops up against some bready maltiness. I can also detect a slight hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is good, neither heavy or watery. This is a pretty good beer. It’s not quite in the league of, say Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but a pretty good second choice if it’s available. I think i’ll have another! henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 11, 2006 The 12 ounce bottle poured a clear reddish amber beverage with an ample creamy white head that lasted beautifully and left good lacing on the glass. The aroma was dominated by a citrus hop character however there was a subtle but distinct caramel malt aroma lurking just underneath the dominant hops. The body was medium-full with lively carbonation and a crisp, dry texture. The flavor starts with a complex balance of subtle malt sweetness and somewhat heavy crisp hop bitterness. The malt sweetness is quickly overpowered by the bitterness which dominates through the long finish.
