Commercial Description:
A wonderfully balanced true pale ale. Cascade, Tomahawk, and Amarillo hops create a citrusy aroma with a smooth, crisp finish. A subdued malt character nicely complements the hop complexity and produces an orangey amber hue.

Given to me as a gift, the beer came in a 12 oz. brown bottle, and poured out clear amber in color, with a two finger thick head and slowly rising carbonation. The smell was cleanly grainy, spicily hoppy, and exhibited some diacetyl. The overall aroma was a very inviting sign before the first sip. The taste was mild for the style despite the label claims of full flavor. It wasn’t so much the lack of flavor or wateriness that was the problem here, but rather the lightly sour and buttery flavors pretty much obscured hop bitterness that is typically the signature of the style. This was more in line with an English Pale Ale, than an American one. A good softly carbonated mouthfeel made this an easy to drink beer. Not a bad beer, but I’m glad the gift was only a single bottle and not a six pack. It would be fine with me from time to time, but can’t see myself drinking a lot of this.

Metal bottle. Pours a medium to light amber color. Some hops are noticable in the aroma. Just a little bit of bitterness. Moderate bitterness up front. Seems to be lacking a little. Somewhat of a citric bitter finish. Not a bad beer.

Pours amber red with medium off-white head. Nose is floral and slightly citrus hops. Flavor is very good -reminds me more of an English pale with lots of creamy malt at the beginning segueing into nicely bitter hops. Yum.

Bottle. Very sweet apple/cherry aroma - light malt and hops. Reddish brown with moderate head. Lightly sweet apple/cherry malt flavor with moderate hops finish. Nicely blanacned with decent hops - nothing overpowering - a nice beer.

This beer purchased at the local swill market along with the Amber Lager since it was the first time I saw either of them for sale locally. This Pale Ale had a little less caramel malt, a little more pale malt and a little more hops, to good effect. It’s better than either the Honey Brown or the Amber Lager. This is a fairly drinkable beer. I sorta wished I had another when I finished it. .. 4-30-06 .. bought a six for $4.79 at the navy base. This is a decent beer for that price range. A lot better flavor and hop mix than you expect for a cheap beer.

Bottle-An average Pale Ale, but that’s not bad considering the price and availablity. The pour was an amber color with a medium size, almost froathy head. There was a definite hoppy aroma, not as much as craft beers, but it still satisfactory. The hop taste is there, but some sweetness does beat it back. ABC

Got this one from the JW Dundee variety pack. Nothing special here, just a normal pale ale. Nothing offensive, but nothing to offer either
