| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Bottle: Clear amber color, light head and mild lacing. The nose is a bit diacetylistic with some mild cascadish hops. The flavor is lightly bitter, no malt sweetness and mucho carbonation. The finish is a bit tangy and holds something a bit metallic in the hop oils which pops onto my palate like german metal onto a hipsters ears. The finish is balanced surprisingly but it’s a very subpar pale ale. twindadplus2 (417), Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Deep copper with an orange tint and a nice frothy head. Aroma is light, floral hops and caramel malt. Medium bodied with mild floral hops and a malty finish. A bit light on the hops compared to some APA’s but still a decent beer for the price. Watery mouthfeel, malty, mild floral hop flavors. Mostly malt to finish. harmless (20), Gainesville, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Poured an amber color with a slight malty aroma. Not a great american pale ale, but I’d have to rate this as one of the better cheap beers out there. I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by this one. Not bad. kramer (2515), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 18, 2005 12 oz bottle. Acquired from my mother-in-law’s fridge. Pours a clear copper with a fizzy white head, generous amount of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is a little weak, some malt, caramel, soap. Flavor is too thin, with barely any hop bitterness. Not what I look for in a real Pale Ale. Weird flavor of soap in the finish really ruins this one for me. Finish is fairly long in duration, but rather unpleasant. Palate is thin and watery with very lively carbonation. Don’t buy this. DYCSoccer17 (2201), Davis, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Bottle. Spicy, sweetish, hoppiness in the nose. I get lots of earthiness and peat-like aromas as well. Transparent copper color with a small off-white head. Earthy, dry, roasty middle with a dry, mildly spiced hopped finish. Decent, but very forgettable. savitska (163), Smyrna, Georgia, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2005 Not one of my favorite American pale ales. It tastes a little like it has some kind of malt flavoring or extract added to it. Also a hint of a metallic after-taste. Looks Ok and it’s cheap at Kroger. RAYBOY01 (1868), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 31, 2005 Very middle of the road as apa’s go. Watered down, my notes say, and that’s never a good thing. But I’ve had many worse beers than this.
