Nose is malty and slightly hopped. Not bad. Better than most macros. Bit of corny or veggie notes. Taste is a bit hoppier with a decent malty flavor and some light nuttiness. Not as much veggie notes but a bit of cardboard. Body is medium with a moderate carbonation feel and no lingering bitterness from the hops. Finishes with some malty sweetness and mild hops. Not a bad beer. SSSteve (2071), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Chemical hints and metallic aftertaste. Certainly some hops and malt but what’s the point? It is fine for the price but I won’t have it again. A bit boring. Flavor, like the aroma, was well balanced between slightly bitter hop flavor and sweet maltiness. Pretty good beer. Not a bad price either. spkldhenlvr24 (459), Newburgh/Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2005 Solid APA. Pours a clear copper/orange body with a small quick white head. Malty caramel aroma with some hoppy scents. A lot of caramel flavors. Almost on the border of an alt and pale ale. Nice hoppy orange taste. Doughy mouthfeel. Soapy finish. A great brew for someone who wants to step out of the norm and vary it up a little without breaking the bank. A great guzzler PA that I can’t get enough of. Also found in the JW Dundee’s Craft pack with Honey Brown and Amber Lager. An excellent offering.
