A sort of metallic sting hits at the end of the tasting, this is not really unpleasent just kind of interesting. Just above average but not by much. Wouldn’t drink this regularly. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2005 Copper, with a white head. Nice fruity, clean aroma. Slightly sweet up front, with notes of grape and caramel and a fairly nondescript hop finish. As the French say, tres average. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 23, 2005 Thanks for Sharing this one Damion. Pours a clear amber color. Small white head, Aroma of apples, sour, somewhat musty. Flavor is boring, thin, a feint hop kick with very little malt to back it up. Just bad. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 16, 2005 Nice clear fiery amber with a medium off-white head. Some light caramel and light floral hops in the nose. Flavor has notes of toasted malt, caramel, toffee and a moderate amount of hops; not really an American Pale, more like your run of the mill Amber. Medium body, subtle carbonation. Decent head retention. Boring. cnole57 (2), Toledo, Ohio, USA does not count | 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/20 | May 13, 2005 nice bitter approach but light on malt...essences of citrus and coriander...a good ale for the price. was only able to purchase it in a variety pack, however. Overall just a nice lightly crisped/hoppy beer. The down side is a sorta watery finish. I guess that makes this a very drinkable session beer. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 1, 2005 Aroma is of toasted malt and resin hops and for some reason reminiscent of wet towels. Color is a dark yellow-gold. Medium white head that falls rather quickly. Flavor is dominated by the bitter hops. Some citrus, full bodied, but malt taste is too weak. Astringent aftertaste. While this one has some nice qualities it also has some real problems that keep it out of the great beer category. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Bottle: Light fruit, caramel, and hop aroma. Pours a transparent amber with a white head. Very light up front with a decent citrus hop finish. Very light caramel is barely noticeable in the background. Will probably re-rate, because my sample was rather small.
