Watery metallic malt aroma, some pine or citrus hops are faint. Taste is soured caramel, thin and lightly hoppy metallic finish. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper color with a small off white head. The head is rather effervescent and it fades quickly. Doughy bread notes along with some pine in the nose. I didn’t get much citrus on this one. Medium carbonation with a rich yet dry mouthfeel. Medium body. Pine paired with honey on the palate. Relatively clean finish with some lingering malt. Overall I didn’t think it was as bad as some ratings portrayed it. I would compare it to a hoppy Honey Brown. milljam (584), Norman, Oklahoma, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 1, 2009 If this is a true pale ale I’m going to stop drinking beer. Faint hop aroma, but nothing discernible. Flavor is unpleasantly bitter and seems to cover everything up. Also present is a medicinal, soap-like flavor. Overall, this was terrible. scooterbub (383), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2009 Bottle. Pours a amber color with a decent, clingy, foamy beige head that lasts. Lots of carbonation. A pretty nice looking brew. Taste is of pine, hops, citrus, malt and some caramel. Similar aroma. A little dry and slightly bitter. Easy to drink, refreshing and rather enjoyable. angrypirate06 (781), Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Had a bottle called "Dundee Pale Ale", and I believe this is it. Pours a gold body with a small fizzy head. Not as strong of a hop presence as I had expected...taste is some hops and also caramel malts, but nothing that really stands out. armando629 (1002), Budapest, Hungary
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 21, 2009 I think nowadays the beer called simply Pale Ale with a frog on the label on the front side. It has an abv 5,3%, and a similar characteristic like the other raters had written here.. So in my opinion i am writing about the correct one...Moderated Pale ale with an amber body and a small white head. Light citrussy aroma of hop, some fruits, little caramel. Easy flavor with the light fruity hop, some malt and yeast (surprisingly like in a leger). Easy drinkable one.
