pours a dark ruby/brown with a large creamy, lasting light tan head. sweet aroma toffee and maybe a pinch of spices(nutmeg or something) but not really interesting. flavor is some nutmeg and pumpkin 5/4/7/3/10 ---re-rate-- beer seems to have changed some since last time. a light brown color. flavors are more spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, mace. a light hoppy finish to round it out. better than before and really not too bad at all.

Pours a clear brown. The spicing isn’t too overdone. It’s fairly well balanced with the sweet malt. Nothing stands out here to be easily identifiable, but that’s not really a bad thing. Pretty tasty, and very drinkable.

Rated 12/8/06: Ok, I am finally impressed with a brew from the JW Dundees line. This is a nice little inexpensive spiced seasonal. Good amber/copper pour with a monster head that doesn’t leave. Decent lacing and ample carbonation. Bitter scent with a solid malt nose and a touch of different spices, needs to be more aromatic. Filling brew and somewhat thick, although the finish has an empty bitterness. Semi-rich malty base with hints of many spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg and perhaps a touch of ginger seem to stand out. A bit of honey is present. For what it’s worth I was impressed by this offering considering most of this brewer’s products tend to be rather bland. The easiness with the blend of spices really stands out.

Dark ruby color with a rather thick white head. Medium carbonation. Malty aroma with other (rather hard to identify) spices in the fold. Flavor is also rather malty with a touch of typical "winter ale" spices. Finishes with a fairly strong alcohol flavor. Decent enough but i won’t be seeking it out.

12oz bottle- Dark amber almost brown body with a nice tan head. Aroma of cloves, spices, caramel, and a little malt. Taste of the same with a longer lasting malt taste on the end along with a funky taste. Not bad but too much going on.

12 oz. bottle. Dark amber body with light tan head. Aroma was light soice and sweet caramel. Body texture has a milky chocolate to it that balanced out the spice that is comon in these festive alses. Smooth on palate decent beer.

bottle, bought a 6pack at botw for 3.96. probably best deal there. looks really nice for the price, nice two finger head and lacing, brown rust color. smells cloves,some citrus, pepper, maybe corriander. tastes spicey but with the spices is a very dominant soap, and metal taste. sort of kkills it for me but again for the price it is totally worthit.

Pours dark reddish amber with a thin beige, wispy head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, stale crystal, with slight soapiness. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied and slightly soapy. Not impressed.
