The spices arent overpowering which is usally a turn off with these kinds of beers. They blend pretty well and are in the background. Good session beer for the night. topherh (915), Kearney, Missouri, USA

The aroma is malts and nutmeg. A medium bodied beer, the malts are pronounced, and the nutmeg is onle of many other spice flavors that seem to pop up...cinnamon, ginger, cardamom. A pretty enjoyable beer, rader58 (178), Leawood, Kansas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Mahogany in color with a small light tan head that has little retention. Some spice in the aroma along with some malt notes. Spicy flavor as well but not a lot of it. Some rye, sugar, cinnamon, and bread. An interesting and nice beer that could use a bigger flavor. j12601 (1282), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Mini growler at Half-Time. Pours a clear coppery brown with a medium sized cream head. Lightly spiced aroma with sweet malt. Body is medium with very light carbonation. A good amount of malt, akin to a nice brown ale. Finish is again akin to a brown ale, and I am not picking up much spice. While I am not finding anything glaringly wrong with it, nothing jumps out and makes me want to pick up another. That said, I was not displeased and it was a rather tasty beer, just nothing spectacular.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Imperial Pint served draft at The Galway Tribes (Frankfort, IL). Pours a mahogany hue, slightly hazed with some reddish notes and a small offwhite head. Aromas are a touch spicy with cinnamon shining through and a touch of orangey fruit and zest. Initial is malt driven, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg take the forefront of this brew smooth with a touch of bitterness in the finish. Very much like a pumpkin beer without much pumpkin. Then again, they are largely spice dominated anyways. Hints of orange rind and spice linger and the spice sticks to the palate a bit. Cheers. thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Pour is a dark brown with a average white head. Aroma is some roasted malt and spice. Flavor is definalty spice with some pumpkin and maybe a bit of cinnamon. Nothing really wrong with this and it actually gets better the more it warms. Bonus is that its a pretty cheap six.
