Bottle. Pour is a reddish brown with a one finger tan head. Aromas of roasted nuts, spice and toffee malt. Following first sip, I’d say this is the best Dundee beer I’ve had. Flavor is thick malt (nuts and toffee) with a nice touch of spices and a little bit of hops bitterness to bring it home.

$4.99 for this sixer. Wonder what it goes for normally. Bipolar in appearance. First bottle was pretty shockingly awesome, with an exquisite rocky, spongy head and lovely lacing, and the second had a soap-bubbly immediately dissipating head and entirely flat appearance. Aromas of raisins, plums, belgian sugar, malts. Caramel and malt, kind of sticky or syrupy, sweet almost all the way through before a very lightly astringent and metallic finish. For the price (and if the first bottle describes most bottles appearance-wise), big applause here.

From a trade with Beerhawk. Pours a near clear chestnut brown with red coolaid highlights and good big tan head, that fads to a thin ring. Faint Aroma of fake cocoa powder. Flavor is mellow and a hint of cherry, chocolate on the finish. Rich medium body Reminds me vaguely of Tommyknocker cocoa porter.

Not sure what spices they are aiming for, the pour is amber with a decent head, nothing to write home about. Overall mouth feel is light and the flavor is nice. Easy finish and light aftertaste.

Deep amber pour with a medium foamy tan head. Sweet malty aroma, with spice and hints of light fruit. Flavor is rich and spicy, definately more than I was expecting. A pretty nice brew.

Bottle. Pours an amber color. Aroma is malt and brown sugar. This beer is average. Not a whole lot of flavor. Very smooth and drinkable beer. Below average in appearence. Would not get again

Dark amber with a thick tan head. Spicy aroma of maple and cinnamon. A little too zesty for the summer but would make a good fall/winter beer which is when it was probably released.
