Decent. It was difficult to tell what kind of beer this is. It sort of tasted like a nut brown ale with some extra spiciness. Roasted malt flavor with some cinnamon spices. A little too thin to be a good beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear ruby with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, fruit, maple syrup, oats and spices -- not bad. Flavour’s sweet and malty with a good amount of spices, maple syrup, some grassy hops and a mild bitter/spicy finish. Average to medium bodied. Not bad for these guys but just average overall.

Mar. 2007 - Dark pour, moderate head, little lacing. Roasty aroma. Guess what? This was pretty good. I had been avoiding in my fridge, fearing the worst. Roasty flavor, touch of chocolate and a just a touch of spiciness. Very little sweetness, a bit dry. Pretty good, especially for the price. Easy drinking.

Clear copper appearance with a thick beige head and good lacing. Malty aroma accented with spice (nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice). Spicy, sweet malt taste, with caramel, toffee and butterscotch. Soft, modestly carbonated mouthfeel. Slight sourness in the atertaste.

Dark red (ish), translucent coloring. I like the aroma a little: spicy, herbal, fruity. Almost nonexistent head. Taste: A mix of spices including cinnamon and coriander, bland malts, and caramel accents that all disappear into carbonated oblivion. Rather thin and watery mouthfeel.

12 oz bottle: An interesting herbal aroma, very heavily spiced, with some caramel malts coming through. Pours a dark reddish hue that is clear with a minimal tan head. Taste is alright, nothing special with the spice notes coming through on the front of the taste then mellowing into nothingness. Then coming back to a light spice note on the aftertaste. Overall, It’s decent nothing great by any means but drinkable.

(Bottle) Pours a brown color with a small off-white head. Odd aroma of wet grains and a mix of spices. Taste includes some sweet caramel, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maybe some coriander. Average mouthfeel. I just thought this beer was a little different, but not in a good way. I’m not sure what they were going for with this mix of spice, but it didn’t work out as well as I would have hoped.

Bottle, some spice and sweetness in the aroma, pours a dark clear brown color with a long lasting moderate tan head. Some sweetness and cinnamon tastes, nothing great but finishes dry. Is a bit watery as well. Typical of this brewery.
