Just seems to be hopped but not balanced. However, it was certainly pretty drinkable and maybe a little underrated. Dacrza (252), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 23, 2008 Soft brownish-red body with a white head that evokes lacing in a perfect balance--a half-inch head sits comfortably and sternly... spruce and hops abound, with fitting hints of malt--this could be a pleasant surprise! Smooth--too smooth?--for an IPA; warms the whole mouth with its medium-bodied presence... malts are present, as are citrus hints and a warming herb or two... not bad--slacks off as the glass drains still, a long way for Honey Brown’s maker! A strange taste when exhaled, though... A pleasant, nonthreatening IPA--an American IPA that you don’t need a toothpick or a toothbrush after imbibing... overall, I could drink this again, and with regard to the sampler, the next best thing to the Brown... mweber962000 (70), Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Presentation: Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass glass. It has nice amber color with good clarity and a thin foamy head that is off white in color. The aroma is light with a pleasant citrus hop scent over a faint malt note. It has a mellow pine and citrus hop tone balanced by a thin malt presence. The palate has a smooth mouth feel with a light to medium body and mild carbonation. Basic, smooth, and safe. It has a simple, never over the top flavor that is enjoyable but not one that you would say I need to get more of that.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Bottle. I’m begining to dislike filtered beer- weak, hollow amber color in this one. Smells a decent strawberry-infused grapefruit, with a hint of apricot. Weak notes of grapefruit dominate the flavor, with just a touch of pine in the background. Very watery taste and mouthfeel. Not horrible; nice session IPA. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 2, 2008 The aroma is piny with some citrus and lots of caramel malt. The appearance is amber with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma and good despite being weak in the hoppy category. The palate is typical. Overall a very good session beer.
