| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Decent IPA. The aroma is hoppy of course, but citrusy hoppy. The appearance is a coppery color typical to the style. the flavor a a decent hop bite, with the grapefruit flavor in the background. The palate has a lasting hop sting, also partly due to the beer’s carbonation. Not a bad IPA, certainly not the best. Borrrris (99), LINDENHURST, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Bottle: Sampler Pack 2008. No expert on this- but not what I was expecting in a beer labelled an IPA. Very similar to their Pale Ale with a tad more (inappropriately?) citrussy character, but still not much of a finish. At least it tastes likes something- unlike some other beers in it’s price class ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Sample box split with BMan1113VR. Orange color with no head. Minimal lacing. Piney, soapy, woody, and hoppy aroma. Tatse is strange and fruity with a metalic finish and a salty mouthfeel. Just sub par. BMan1113VR (2930), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 6, 2008 Tasted with ilovedarkbeer. Aroma is piney with some soap. Az small, off-white head, a touch of lacing with a dark orange body. Taste isn’t that interesting. Mouthfeel is metallic with a watery, fizzy feel. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Thanks jetzler. Poured a big foamy, receding white head with a warm golden body. Grapey, sweet tea aroma with very subdued hop fragrance. More sweet tea-like English malt and malt syrup flavors plus some notable herbal bitterness with some grainy astringency in the finish. Very little hop character, aside from the bitterness. Not really in the true spirit of the style—more just a marketing ploy, me thinks.

Crisply carbonated, less body than desired. Okay for the price, better options exist however. ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Updated: Dec 15, 2008From a 12 oz bottle as part of a craft beer variety pack. Pours clear amber with just small amount of foam around the outside of the glass. I get an aroma of spice and citrus hops, with a slight hint of fresh coffee beans. The coffee doesn’t translate over in flavor, instead a warm citrus flavor with hops on the finish. It’s highly carbonated with almost a burning sensation on the tongue. This is a pretty good beer, although the strength of the flavor is nowhere near many other IPAs on the market. cbkschubert (2008), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2008 12 oz. bottle - Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is lighly spiced, citrus hops with a touch of toasted caramel malt. Flavor is a lighly sweetened toasted malt with a good bit of hops for balance. Has a slight hop aftertaste. Medium body. A decent beer.
