For some reason - this smells a little bit like Chinese Food to me. Bitterness just isn’t there. Tastes like stale malt. Nothing exciting or unique about this beer. Leaves a dreadful coating on the tongue. llcooldave (328), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Nice Piney aroma, honey in color with a soapy looking head. Not as bitter as some IPAs I’ve had but it finishes clean and is very drinkable & sparkling on the palate. A solid effort... Bcoble003 (100), Dalton, Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 2, 2007 The foam is outrageously good, lacing is all over the place! ... A nicely done mild IPA ... Middle of the road beer but it takes the left lane.. One of the finer JW’s! redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Seems to be a typical IPA in my opinion. The hops aren’t as aggressive as in most IPAs. Amber color with a good-sized white head.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Clear amber body with a small creamy white head. Sweet citrus hops aroma with a caramel background. Grainy caramel malt flavor with some citrus hops shining through. Aubrey (2777), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Rich, deep amber with a foamy, lasting head. Light body; kind of creamy. Malts were weak; some toast, pinch of caramel; some "candy sugar" notes, similar to some Canadian IPAs I’ve had. Hops were underwhelming. Somewhat stark (plant-like) right off the bat. Flat aroma (single flower). Bitterness was a bit unbalanced (not enough malt to cleave off the starkness). Drinkable, but I didn’t really enjoy this IPA.
