The hops come forward more strongly (if unaggresively) in the flavor with a citric bitterness that outmatches the generic malt sweetness. More like an APA, but better than anticipated.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Clear deep gold. Lasting off-white head. Nose is of citrus, yeast and hop . Lightly carbonated. Hoppy beer with some malt. There is a sharpness. Some sweetness with mild dryness. One of the better JW Dundees.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2007 The aroma is earthy, the color comes from Rumpelstiltskin’s wheel. Tastes orange rind bitter with a sweet , almost kumquat rind, note. Finish is like grapefruit, clean with a great lingering bitterness. Unlike all this citrus fruit, the beer is not sour, I didn’t find this model a "lemon." krautdog (15), Gimmelstümph, Germany

The color was nice and the flavor was good-fine amount of bitterness along with a slight "hoppy" nose. I am a big fan of Amarillo hops so, I may be a bit biased. I found it in a sample pack. I would certianally buy more if it were available in 6 packs. MaliMisho (215), East Meadow, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2007 This was a very good beer, had it in a mix pack, and perhaps the best beer in the pack along with the JW Dundees Pale Ale, which had a lot of similarities. Chapel (330), Levittown, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Copper colored pour. Aroma and flavor was mostly of hops but probably could have done with a bit more to bring out the intensity I have come to expect from an IPA. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2007 Bottle: Bottom line up front: pleasantly surprised. Poured a nice medium copper tone and a head that’s initially over the top, but settles rapidly. Nicely active. Moderate caramel nose with a hint of citric hop. Nice malt foundation here, with a toasty caramel essence and a pleasant little hoppy pull. Not the hoppiest AIPA you’ll ever have, but this holds it own stylisticly, well done High Falls.(#3065, 8/27/2007) matt7215 (979), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
