Commercial Description:
Our India Pale Ale is brewed with an aggressive hop profile derived from Amarillo and Simcoe hops. A blend of Crystal malts creates the backbone which supports the hop character without diminishing it.

pours a clear version of bright coppery brown with a foamy tannish off white head. perfumey floral nose... earthy spicy hops, citrus, grainy caramel, crystal and a bit of baking powder. the flavor is the same though a little muddy with a dry faintly bitter finish. it leaves somewhat of a piney aftertaste. medium bodied with a soft mouth feel. 6/3/6/3/13/3.1

THOUGHTS: A lot better than I was expecting. Not great, but nice. Way better than most of the Dundee beers and closer to the style than most Dundees. Could have been a little more balance. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a medium orangey amber with and average, off-white head, that kept a thin sheet and left fair lacing. The aroma was light to moderate caramel malt, moderate floral, perfume-like and orange citrus hops and tea. The initial flavor was sweet and bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet, slightly acidic and rather bitter with an average duration that was fairly short for the style. There was caramel malt, citrus hops, a little wood, floral and perfume hops. The medium body was sort of creamy with very fizzy carbonation and a light to moderately astringent and dry finish.

Pours deep amber with a disappearing white head. Weak citrus and pine aroma. Very boring taste, nothing really sticks out. Not awful, maybe a decent session beer, but bad otherwise.

2009-06-18. Golden orange body with a modest off-white head. Mild aroma, light hops, quick resin notes. Flavour is muddled, light mild hops and bitterness, muddled caramel malt. Average palate. Meh. Not unpleasant but rather dull. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a thin creamy off-white head. Flavor is a light grassy hops on a toasted caramel body. Not particularly bitter, what is there is a faint floral bitterness that lingers. Light bodied.

Deep orange-golden coloured brew with a creamy white head. The aroma is lightly hoppy with a touch of light citrus and a bit of grapefruit. There is a touch of light sweet caramelly malt. Light crystal malt and a bit of soft hoppiness. The flavour is pretty well-balanced with a touch of light bitterness on the back of a light maltiness. Soft fruity flavour. The best of the mixed case, by a long shot.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is toffee and leafy hops. Taste is caramel, toffee, and leafy hops with a light citrus note. Good, but not very IPA-like.

Bottle: Deep orange/golden with an off white film of head. Sweet pale/caramel malt aroma- less diacetyl than the pale ale, but still a bit buttery with some honeyish herbal notes. Average carbonation. Feels very macro. Sweet caramel flavor with just a touch of butter. Grassy notes toward the back. Bad, but not as off or diacetyl ridden as their pale ale.
