The aroma picked up lighter fruits (apricot), orange zest, and dried pine needles over non-descript pale malts.. seemed to lack depth in the character department. The flavor had drier, quasi-sweet pale malts and a pinch of caramel with a decent array of floral and light fruity bitterness around.. finished a bit warmer than it should have with a lot of residual sugars. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate with a scratchy overall feel.. non-offensive, but also non-good. raradel (34), Greenville, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2009 By far the best beer in the variety pack. No I will not dream of this brew, which sadly I have of others, but this is a good, drinkable IPA. I’ve had more bold and more bitter in IPAs but this is a solid, traditional effort at the style. Don’t expect magic, but expect good. Soonah (940), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 21, 2009 The pour was somewhere between copper and brown, dark for an IPA. The head is ample and off-white, decent lacing. The aroma is a brief blast of citrus with lots of caramel malt and some stale hops or iced tea as it opened up. The flavor had light, tart citrus that gave way quickly to stale hops. Thin mouthfeel, succinct finish. Nothing special. RSRIZZO (1368), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 10, 2009 (Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a bright golden brown with good carbonation and a thin tight head. Aroma is a faint hop scent. Taste is grassy and bitter. Starting with a lighter medium body it goes down a little sharp. Finish comes on with hint of malt then a hay like hop taste and a big bitterness. After taste is clean with just a bit of the bitterness lingering on. Overall its not bad, the more you drink it the better it seems to taste. MrBunn (1536), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a orangish amber with a pretty massive head. Aromas are fair, but more reminiscent of pale ales than IPA’s... a bit of caramel and a bunch of mixed bag hops... some skunkiness, a little bit of grass and a touch of citrus. Flavor is quite poor for an IPA... a bit of caramel malt and some grain dust like when you enter a dry grain bin... just a touch of bitterness in the finish is about the extent of hops here. aguyintx66 (78), Humble, Texas, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Smacks you in the face hoppy. Not so pale but kind of an amber color. Not the best IPA I’ve had but not the worst.
