~Sweet syrupy crystal malts with grassy, citrus hops in the scent.
~Good balance in the flavor. Malts are a bit stronger than I would like in an IPA, but still good taste.
~Medium mouth feel. A bit sticky with bitter sweet aftertaste.
~Pretty decent brew. The syrupy malt taste and scent starts to get a bit sickening towards the end. Could only drink one of these in a sitting.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 26, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Tmoney99. Pours clear amber with a small off white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt that is almost candy like with some citrus hops. The flavor is citrus and pine hops with a dose of sweet caramel malt. Thin, but crisp and easy to drink. There was not much in the finish as far as bitterness was concerned. A drinkable alternative when there is nothing else. KimJohansen (7124), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Bottle and served in yet another pint glass, glad I have so many... The appearance is exactly the same as the three Dundees beers I had before it, clear golden with a small frothy head. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, apple, grassy and herbal hops, biscuity and doughy malts, and some peppery vapours. The taste is a tad fruity and hoppy but very laid back. The pale malt and yeast character is noticeable. Dry minerally finish. The mouth feel is once again chalky and soft, not aggressive as most in the genre. An okay beer, it would easily pass for an modern APA IMO, hardly your hop forward IPA found more often. Drinkable and the best of the Dundee offerings so far. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottle. Their best offering... Golden body with a white head. Hop characteristics are earthy, grassy, dusty, lightly soapy, with a light pine and citrus. So so. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

Medium to large sized white foamy head with good retention and nice long lasting lacing. The aroma is caramel, orange rind and grapefruit. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and floral. The hops are a little mild for an IPA. Good balance. Nice carbonation. Kind of a brewpub standard IPA, which isn’t a bad thing here. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. I would not drink two in a row, but it is always welcome when it grabs my hand in the craft pack box.
Definitely pour this one out. Who drinks IPA straight from the bottle?
