| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 3, 2009 The appearance is a thick, pillowy head. Sits atop a hazy, glowing orange. Carbonation looks like bats escaping a cave. Looks like a goddamn BEER. A really nice flowery hop in the first sniff. Sweetish pine-hop. Some tangy pale malt, with a small hint of citrus fruit. The flowery estery hop is the signature flavor. The pale malt shows up fashionably late. The malt has hints of tobacco and raisin. The feel is creamy and chewy, moreso with the temperature rising. Thick and foamy. IT’s a terrific, flowery IPA. Not overwhelming but really nice. A summery (!) IPA gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA

This is a very fine IPA, especially considering it’s inexpensive. Dark, clear reddish brown pour with a nice floral nose, some citrus in the taste. Lots of complexity. Finished strong but clean. I’m impressed. jimhilt (1688), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 5, 2008 Pours a five+ finger white head that fades to a lumpy layer leaving a good lace. Nice crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Slight hoppy nose. Flavor is almost sweet piney hops. Slight hoppy finish. Here’s an IPA that doesn’t blow you away with the hops. $1.08 for a 12oz bottle from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH. FROTHINGSLOSH (2033), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 21, 2008 Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright caramel-amber color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was moderately sweet and fruity with a touch of pine and resin. The flavor was sweet, fruity, piney and tangy with a sweet nut and caramel malt base and a smooth sweet and hoppy finish. Not very bitter. The hops are somewhat subdued. This is one very easy drinking, sweet and enjoyable if unassertive beer. Remarkable. Codythegreat (146), Carrollton, Georgia, USA

Also has a strong hoppy taste. For me Indian Pale Ales have a very narrow tast difference range so it is very similar to a sweetwater or Dogfishhead IPA. I drank this out of a shaker. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2006 Pours from the bottle to a highly carbonated bright copper color with thick off-white head that lingers for the entire glass, and leaving excellent lacing. Aroma is not as pronounced as I would like, but what was there was grapefruit-citrus and floral, as expected in an IPA. Flavor was more of the citrus-grassy hops, although body was a tad thin. Mouthfeel was almost burning, due to the high carbonation, and the finsih was dry and bitter as expected. A pleasant offering from JW Dundee. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 24, 2005 draught. randallized with amarillo hops. brown-copper body with a frothy off-white head. pine hop aroma and some sweet caramel. sharp pine hoppy body with distant creamy malts. it’s a very nice hoppiness that isn’t over the top like you would expect from such a beast. finish lingers with the aforementioned pineyness. good stuff. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 20, 2005 On tap, Buffalo Brew Fest. The rating is for a randallized version with amarillo hops. Also sampled randallized with simcoe but did not rate that version. Medium amber color, slight haze, off white head, fairly long lasting. Hoppy aroma, fresh, somewhat piney, surprisingly full malt prescence. Flavor is rich with hops without being overly bitter, still a nice balance with the caramelly malts. Medium bodied, fairly dry, finished with some light bitterness. Very good, immensely hoppy without being a palate killer.
