Clear very dark amber pour with orange highlights and a ring of clearish tan head. Nose of sweet raisin and caramel. More caramel in the flavor. A little plastic and bandaid, but not overbearing. Thin and a little metallic on the palate. Not a bad ofest, but don’t think it’d be that much better fresh. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA

It’s dark orange. Clear and glassy. Two thick fingers of head. Lots of big carbonation.
Initial musty burst in the aroma. After re-agitating, earthy but sweet molasses malts. Very heavy and sweet butterscotch in the nose.
The taste is sweet and sugary malts. Caramel and molasses. The yeast brings some very heavy butterscotch notes. The malts get somewhat bitter and sit on the tongue. Very good.
Feels dry but also milky. Full-bodied, like the label says. It’s a big, milky autumnal beer. Terrific. Cavie (1414), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 21, 2009 bought in ATX at Grapevine, i don’t know why.... smells like soup can and light maple .. . pours a robust tan-orange, with low medium fizzy head .. . so far so good .. . simple stuff, light caramel in the mouth.. pretty easy to put down .. . its just how your karma came, but thanks to the vision and the 20/20 wisdom, it hit me like a south bound train... . For who makes this, they did a pretty good job, give this to a normy hey might very well seek out other marzens, simplistic but non offensive.. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Ruby amber with a thin white head, in keeping with most other Dundee’s. Caramel and barnyard aroma. Taste is some roast but more metallic. Thin, watery, needs more malt backbone to be a good Marzen. AskForJenny (646), Ontario, New York, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Bottle… Clear, dark amber lager with a small, quickly dissipating, off-white head. Decent retention. Nutty, toasty aroma with caramel coming to the forefront. Medium-bodied with kicked-back carbonation. Malty, caramely flavor with mineral bitterness providing decent balance. Subtle, bittersweet finish.
