Commercial Description:
For thousands of years, fall has been a time of plenty ~ plenty of food and plenty of good brew, carefully crafted in anticipation of one heck of a party. If summer is exercise, bikini diets, and baking in the sun; fall is recliner Sundays, cheese in a can, and basking in the glow of a robust, flavorful brew like Dundee Oktoberfest. So in the fall, be full-bodied. After all, as much as we love bikinis, there is a lot to be said for cheerleader sweaters.

The pour has an orange hue and a small ring of whitish bubbles for a head. The aroma is syrupy sweet. The flavor is true to the aroma, not as strong as you would expect from the aroma. The malts are caramelly and sweet, the hops are hardly noticable. Not my favorite Oktoberfest but an ok and easy to drink beer.

Single bottle from the Binny’s in Plainfield, IL. Nice look, a bright orange body with a tall off-white head. Very little lace. The aroma is way sweet, toffee with a bit of caramel and nothing to cut it. Just a slight bit of earthiness to try to balance out the flavor. I’ll pass on this one in the future.

12 oz. bottle from a friend. I actually liked the aroma...nice spicy, malty smell...really pleasant especially when I smelled out of the bottle right when I opened it. Pours a nice amber color...thin white head, very fizzy. Nothing real special about the flavor, Im not really grasping anything...Maybe a little malt and spice...but its pretty light...Easy on the palate. Overall its hardly anything special. The aroma is the best part and it doesnt hold up after that...Finding im not an Oktoberfest fan...although I like the Sam Adams.

This poured a bland amber color with an off white head. Aroma was malty and thats about it. Flavor was really bland, nothing sticks out at all, common for an oktoberfest though.

Clear amber color pour with a small foamy head. Aroma and flavor of sweet malt, caramel, and a hint of citrus hops. Average on the palate. Not bad, but not much going on.

Winter Welcome Toronto. Nose is a spicy candied malt, copper, pours a small firm tan head. Flavour is also candied malt, toffee. Light bodied, sweet, tasty. Thank You Radek Kliber.

[bottle - 12 oz] Amber color with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet malts with a light touch of caramel underneath that. Flavor is very nice and malty with a smooth malt backbone and a lightly sweet and lasting finish. The very lightest touch of hops lingers on the tongue at the end.

12oz bottle from Spec’s on December 9, 2008. Huge, pancakey frothy head on this baby! Dark amber. Clear. Not carbonated, but bubbles rise as you move the mug. Spotty lacing. Sweet aroma, caramels present. Thin body, but sweet and a little hoppy. Bright palate. A good Oktoberfest... great to drink in large quantities, I imagine.
