Commercial Description:
For thousands of years, fall has been a time of plenty ~ plenty of food and plenty of good brew, carefully crafted in anticipation of one heck of a party. If summer is exercise, bikini diets, and baking in the sun; fall is recliner Sundays, cheese in a can, and basking in the glow of a robust, flavorful brew like Dundee Oktoberfest. So in the fall, be full-bodied. After all, as much as we love bikinis, there is a lot to be said for cheerleader sweaters.

Bottle 355 ml, Appearance: crystal , clear amber look with good mid, contrasting white top. 3+ Aroma: mild caramel aroma , amber malts , light hop hints. 5- Flavour/Palate: medium bodied , slight metallic front. Straight amber malts with slight bitter ending. Straightforward, not entirely into style.

12oz bottle (Binny’s Naperville)- Pours a nice amber body with a decent size off white head. The beer emits an aroma of malt and caramel. The taste starts out with malt and caramel and then finishes up with some hops and more sweetness. This medium body at best beer is fairly well balanced and quite drinkable especially since I am not a big fan of this style.

Pours a three-finger cream head that fades slowly leaving traces of lace. Crystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose. Flavor is caramel with the hops in the background - almost but not too sweet. $1.20 for a 12oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Easy pour that is dark amber with a thin head and no lacing. It has a smooth body with a malty caramel flavor. Very nice Oktoberfest.

Amber to bronze colored liquid with a tall lasting manila folder colored head. Caramel and lightly toasted malt aromas. A hint of floral hops as well. Some pale malt flavors along with a kitchen bouquet caramel flavor. Little bit of dried flower bitterness in the middle. Fairly sweet and not very crisp in the finish and liner. Just another slightly stronger amber lager.

(12 oz. bottle consumed Nov. 3, 2008)- poured transparent amber with copper tints, off white head tried to form but to no avail, low carbonation. Aroma of malt, acorns, and sweet stench of falling autumn leaves. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, the malt is there and has a mild taste, close to no water (a plus considering this breweries other products), finish has a pleasant twang. Good sessioner overall- if it doesn’t get you in the mood to break out the sweaters and late night football, check your pulse.

Appearance: Pours a clear, rich amber body with a wispy, off-white head. Smell: Restrained nose, smelling mildly of toffee, caramel, and a half cup of grains. Taste: Mildly sweet toffee and caramel maltiness with an underlying touch of grain. Light spicy hops and bitterness. Mostly drying finish, but you are left with the tiniest bit of lingering sweetness. Like a ghost whispering ’’Dundee’’ in your ear. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Eh, it’s tolerable, even okay at times. Like a proper Oktoberfest that got the volume turned down on it.
