It’s dark orange. Clear and glassy. Two thick fingers of head. Lots of big carbonation.
Initial musty burst in the aroma. After re-agitating, earthy but sweet molasses malts. Very heavy and sweet butterscotch in the nose.
The taste is sweet and sugary malts. Caramel and molasses. The yeast brings some very heavy butterscotch notes. The malts get somewhat bitter and sit on the tongue. Very good.
Feels dry but also milky. Full-bodied, like the label says. It’s a big, milky autumnal beer. Terrific. jimhilt (1682), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

Crystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose. Flavor is caramel with the hops in the background - almost but not too sweet. $1.20 for a 12oz bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me. jimig (23), , Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: The body has a dark amber color and good clarity. The head is off white in color and foamy but fades out quickly leaving just a ring of foam on top.
Smell: The aroma has a heavy malty character with caramel and light roasted/toasted notes. Hop aroma is very mild.
Taste/Mouth feel: It has a big malty flavor that is sweet and bready with a nutty character. Hop flavor is modest and brings leafy/herbal notes and mild bitterness for some balance. Also a little metallic taste creeps into the mix. The finish is fairly quick and balanced but still a bit on the sweet side. Its carbonation is soft and the texture is smooth with a medium body.
Notes: Overall it’s a good offering for good price.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Dundee Oktoberfest is a crystal clear, sparkling amber beer with an off white film of a head that dissipates and leaves great lacing on the glass. There’s not much aroma to it. It smells a little sweet and pretzely. It has a medium body and a chewy finish that’s a little chalky. It tastes pretzely and mellow. There’s a tiny touch of sweetness that’s well balanced with a green, leafy bitterness. Yup, Oktoberfest. hopscotch (5487), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Bottle… Clear, dark amber lager with a small, quickly dissipating, off-white head. Decent retention. Nutty, toasty aroma with caramel coming to the forefront. Medium-bodied with kicked-back carbonation. Malty, caramely flavor with mineral bitterness providing decent balance. Subtle, bittersweet finish.
