Bottle. A clear amber color pour with a thin white head that quickly fades , some lacing left behind. Aroma is sweet caramel , toasty ,with some faint wood notes. Flavor is malty ,sweet caramel and bread dough , some lite spice . Medium body with a crisp mouthfeel , medium carbonation with a malty sweet finish . Quite sessionable and better that expected.

Nov 11, 2009 Thin white head, caramel hue. Robust, nutty, caramel malt structure. Acidic and bitter in the finish, long and lingering. Nothing special, good not great.

Nov 9, 2009 Bottle Pours a clear dark amber with a good off white head. The head is bubbly and deminishing. Almost no lacing whatsoever. Has a nice aroma of malts. Caramel, grain, wheat and spices. The carbonation is good. Flavor is sweet and decent. Not super hearty but smooth and drinkable. Has a watery texture. The body is light. Has a soft finish with a weaker aftertaste.

Oct 23, 2009 Clear amber color. Aroma is of malts, caramel, nutmeg, grain, earthy, and some wheat. Taste is of bitter malts, hops, caramel, and honey. Has a bitter aftertaste. Nothing really pleasant about this.

Oct 22, 2009 Pours from the bottle a clear deep copper-orange in color with a very big, creamy, tan head. Aroma is very malty, sweet caramel melding with a light Munich malt toasted notes, sweet floral hops and some light gourd-like fruitiness. Flavor has a very smooth sweet caramel note, light toasted Munich malt, light spicy note and some fruity apple at the end. Body is mod/heavy with a very full texture, great carbonation for the style, solid head retention and awesome lacing. Honestly, I was not expecting this from Dundee. A bit on the sweet side but not a bad brew at all and one I can see stocking the fridge with during the fall months.

Oct 16, 2009 Sample at 69 Taps in Akron. The beer is a mostly clear copper color with a thin off-white head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing. Light earthy malt and caramel aroma. Thin body with a weak caramel malt flavor along with notes of toasted grain. Metallic touches as well. The finish is short and malty. Overall this Oktoberfest is more or less a joke compared to what else is out there.

Oct 13, 2009 Pours coppery with an off white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Flavor doesn’t have the big maltiness that the aroma promises; light malt, slightly tart, dry finish.
