Mar 17, 2009 2009 Bottle. Aroma of sugary malts. Amber appearance, quickly dissipating white head. Sweet taste with light caramel and sugars, similar to some sort of soda. Balanced flavor, but watery aftertaste. Overall, worth drinking, easy to drink, and a nice surprise.

Mar 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours sparkling dark yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of pear, dust, and vegetable. Light bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Mar 7, 2009 Not really brown, but deep gold Pretty good retention on the head. Smells like not much of anything. Maybe a little brown sugar. Taste is caramel sweet and a bit fruity, with a very slight tartness that somewhat balances the sweetness. Does have a nice smooth and somewhat rich texture, but leaves a syrupy coating in the mouth. If it was dried out just a touch it would be enjoyable.

Mar 6, 2009 Sampled from the bottle. The beer had a clear gold color with a smaller white head that did not have much life to it. The aroma was mostly of malt, caramel, and only a touch of honey, with some grainy scents too. It was a sweeter tasting beer as the honey malt was the most prominent feature with some underlying bitterness. A smooth, lighter beer, which was a bit watery and had low to average carbonation. Overall it was not a particularly exciting beer.
