Taste is honey, caramel......very sweet yet smooth. I used to love this stuff before I was into craft beer and it’s got a special place with me because it’s the first beer I actually liked the taste of. My gateway into craft beer. Not bad stuff, but not nearly as good as I used to think it was. renffisch (520), london, Greater London, England

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 5, 2008 Bottle into Sam Adams new Ultimate Lager Glass. Pours a dark amber color with a head that quickly dissolves leaving no lacing. Honey aroma apparent. Medium carbonation. Slight mouth-coating. Low bitter aftertaste. Low ABV but I can feel the alcohol in my throat in the first two quaffs! Honey flavor comes out as beer warms and caramel flavor also becomes present. Reminds me vaguely of Miller High Life I used to drink by the case in college. Only better. kidmartinek (1001), austin, Texas, USA

Smells sweet and light like honey. Flavor is of barley malt and a lot of honey. Too sweet for me. Mild, syrupy mouthfeel. Sticky finish. Sweet finish. mmmbeer (765), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Bottle poured into shaker- poured transparent faint brown, small white head formed and stayed for a little bit. Light carbonation, weak aroma of malt with notes of sugar and honey. Hits the mouth with a defined small body, malt detectable but far from overpowering, finish has an ever enjoyable sweet note. My go to beer when it’s session time. gsteph (266), knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Light iced tea pour, definate honey color. Good sized white head. Clear body. Too clear for me. Sweetened, malty nose...a little yeasty. Mild honey, brown sugar and malt. No bitterness anywhere. Palate is good, flavorful and semi-refreshing. There is nothing special going on but not bad for a summer throwdown. RONCOD (107), Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA
