No real detectable aroma (although I do have a stuffy nose right now, so I may be missing it). Not sure if I can get over the sweetness though. The more I drink it the more it has a slight medicinal quality to it. Not sure if I’d purchase it again. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

Pours a clear amber-brown with a thin creamy head. It looks much like a weak tea. Served way too cold for my liking, I let it sit for about 10 minutes. Honey, toasted malt and a faint nuttiness are on the nose. Light-bodied and slick with decent carbonation and a lightly dry finish. The flavor is a significant honey punch up front with lesser notes of toasted malt and a hint of nuts at the finish. I thought it paired well with my wings, and I would order it again. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Color is a nice golden-brown. Aroma is malty and has undertones of honey sweetness. Flavor is good, malty, with strong hint of honey, no bitterness or hop component. Smooth, not complex, but refreshing and tasty. This is a good beer for a party or to have with dinner. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 14, 2007 Every craft brewer has a brew that is its most recognizable recipe. Such is the case with JW Dundee’s Honey Brown. I have had this one many times before but never had one for the purpose of reviewing it. Pours a gorgeaous amber-honey-brown. Some head that fades after a few moments. A little light hops and a noticeable aroma of honey. A smooth mouthfeel, thanks to the honey I’m sure. And I can most defintely taste the honey on this one. Mild with no aftertaste of which to speak. It is a favorite of mine and obviously I like it better than the previous ten reviewers as well as the overall average rating.
