This is a ’local’ brewery (just down the road to Rochester), and I was surprised that I did like this beer. Sweet, with a 4.5 ABV gives it a nice little kick, without a heavy aftertaste. Got this when a local mart went out of business and glad I did. I would keep this around to sip on. aarossell (151), Grandville, Michigan, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 22, 2006 Updated: Dec 31, 2007Why have I never rated this tho it is near my fingertips at every store? I spend so much time seeking out craft beers and it’s hard to respect anything that is so obtainable, you take it for granted it will always be there. Finally, in the right place at the right time I picked up a craft pack. This one had five in it. Nice packaging on the 12 oz twist off bottle. The color is a clear medium gold brown. I don’t see any bubbles or lacing on the side of my steeler stein. Nice feel on my tongue, tingly sips. I detect very little, if any, hop bitterness but the positive flavor characteristics of hops are present. Very nice carbonation on the drinking, sizzly but not quite like lancaster strawberry. I find JWDOHBL to be a satisfying drink. At times I feel I’m drinking a dry ginger ale. Finish fades and is a little watery but there is a lingering hint of malt. I’m sure I’ve drank this before but never paid much attention to it. SilkTork (4191), Rochester, Kent, England
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Bottle from Tesco. A slightly dark lager with caramel and crystal malt. Some vague honey flavour as well. A fairly unpleasant sort of drink with the crystal malt not sitting comfortable on such a light body. Not my thing at all. BeerVirgin72 (814), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 13, 2006 Deep copper hue with a thin white head. Weak slightly skunked nose. Weak in flavour, very thin, weak and as with the nose slightly skunked. Carbonation is lively and it just makes you belch (a lot). All in all a pretty poor effort. A weak tasting, skunky bottle of burps. SwillNoMore (105), USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Beer mug, from bottle. No bottle date; sampled Dec ’06. Short-lived, bubbly, pure-white head, leaving no trace and no lacing. Color is crystal clear (can read text through it), slightly brownish amber. Lively carbonation seen rising. Aroma of honey and...cheese? Mouthfeel is thin, light and fizzy, but it leaves a stickiness on the palate. Flavor is sweet...not malty sweet, just sweet...with no hop bitterness to balance it. Finish is short, but the syrupy palate lingers. With the low alcohol content, you may as well drink soda -- that’s what it tastes like. bhensonb (4380), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 8, 2006 Light honey aroma, but not much else. Light clear amber color with substantial white head. It starts sweet, a bit of malt arrives to justify, then a thinnish hint of honey flavor follows. Not very hopped. Beats Budweiser.
