| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Bottle. Medium sized fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, visible carbonation, and a gold hue. The aromia was malt, sweet and corn. The flavor was malt, lightly hoppy, somewhat harsh and astringent tasting. Tingly mouthfeel and medium in body. Nothing special by any means as there are better of this style so don’t waste your time and $. coldbrewky (736), Saugerties, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 9/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Updated: Jul 28, 2008Well for a pale bock I guess its not black but it ain’t pale....Its a golden tea brown. Nose is almost undetectable. A salty bitter palor is the start of the watery body. I will use the remainder to kill slugs in the garden. Ugggh, It makes me wonder if the brewers tried this swill, or that they needed a 6th beer to fill out the sample pack. I hope it kills slugs. Update....slugs seem to like Busch more than this (2:1) Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Bottle Janie 08’. Not good. Mashed in bitterness. Not enough body for a boch. To much in the way hops and not enough sweet soft malts. Stylistically poor.
