Clear golden body with soft bubbles and a white, pillowy, extra-creamy two-finger head in a pokel--uneven tracings... thin, metallic hints of malt; crisp and a bit buttery... thin going in, but a bit of an annoyance on the throat... creamy and weak-bodied... somewhat malty--more pilsner than bock?--but the taste boldens late... stronger, but still basically a light lager with some sweetness...pleasant and rather nondescript--giving this beer the benefit, it may just be a misnomer (can’t imagine this holding up to an actual bock), and without expectations, it is drinkable.

poured from 12 ozer nice frothy white head that lasted awhile but could be because the glass was frozen.the aroma was the best part of this beer in my opinion. taste was smooth and caramelly. finish was clean a good beer but not great. id try it again. could drink these all night. only had 2 though in a sampler.

Presentation: It was poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. It has a nice golden amber color with good clarity. The head is white in color, big, and fluffy. It quickly fades to just a thin covering of bubbles. As I drink a small amount of lace is left behind on the glass. It has a simple clean aroma of sweet bready malts. There is a light caramel sweetness to the malt with a thin earthy hop flavor throughout. It finishes cleanly with some mild hop bitterness. The body is light to medium with just enough carbonation for balance. Over all I would say that it is an average beer that is easy to drink with a simple clean flavor.

The aroma is slightly acidic with grassy hops and sweet corn malt. The appearance is light amber with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with an astringent bitterness. The palate is typical for the style. Overall not bad but not that good.

Light, yellow color; nowhere near the head of the other Dundee’s beers. Aroma light and sweet but there’s very little there. Flavor sweet and grainy; alcohol finish; metallic and sour. Medium-light body. This sucks.

I think this was my first pale bock. Nothing really good going on in the aroma. Watered down taste, but still has a decent maltyness. Has a hint of sweetness, caramel malt and hops. Not very good in taste or just overall, and not well balaced of what little there seems to be in the balence.

Bottle to Sam Adams Boston Lager Glass. Pours a light brown almost tan with thick, but short-lived off-white head. Slight floral aroma, sweet, but also grainy and tart. It seems t sting my nose a bit. Tastes quite bitter only slightly sweet (seems wrong for a heller bock? Woody, earthy notes and alcohol is there too. Light, alcoholic mouthfeel. Didn’t like this one one bit. My first Heller Bock. Maybe I just have to get used to to.

Pours a yellowish color with s amall white head. Aroma of grain, and malt. Flavor is a little hops, malt, caramel and grass. Another JW Dundees brew to avoid.
