I’m not familiar with good Bocks - so can’t fairly rate it other than as a "beer" - and I’m ambivalent about it. Even more so than the other styles in this sampler I find it less than great, but obviosly made with a t least some real beer ingredients. Cleaner tasting than a lager and not overly watery. Malty esp. on the finish Wouldn’t seek it out - but would easily prefer it to a mass market macro brew. ilovedarkbeer (1367), Dallas, Texas, USA

Weak aroma almost none, I can only get a little bit of corn and sugar. Terrible light orange appearance. Tate is weak and watery, dry, with some sort of strange akward bitterness. Terrible bock. Taste is salty water with fruit about half way through. Mouthfeel is fizzty. Tastes like a common macro, but extra clean. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 1, 2008 This beer is dark orange, but very clear and filtered. The aroma is mostly malty with a hint of lemon on the end. The flavor has quite a bit of malt and a bit of a bite. There is a bit of an aftertaste of burnt malt. jcwattsrugger (5563), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Feb 22, 2008 They might as well call this malt liquor. Poured a white head that was very foamy, and has a slightly darker than light beer amber color to it. It has much of the same flavor that you’d get from a cheap 40oz of malt liquor, with a slightly sweeter finish. I got this in a "craft beer sampler" from JW Dundees, and I wish they’d replace this one with something else. Not bad at all if you enjoy malt liquor, but this wouldn’t be my first (or second or third) choice of beer. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Aug. 2006 - Not a bad beer for the buck. Poured pale color with smallish head and lacing. The aroma was bready and sweet. The flavor was more plain lager than bock with some malty honey sweetness thrown in. Crisp and refreshing at the get-go, but as it warmed it became more syrupy, and not in a good way. Drink it quick, drink it cold would be my motto...and that never speaks well of the beer, now, does it?
