Tasted like a less honey like Honey Brown, so it was better in that regards. NOt much for the palate here but smooth. rman18 (201), South Amboy, New Jersey, USA

This isn’t their best nor is it the best I have tried but it gets the job done. The palate test didn’t pass but the flavor is above average. Worth a try. GMUcrew7 (360), Mason, Ohio, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Pours decent golden/burnt orange color with some off white head. Aroma is faint at best, somewhat sweet and malty, not a bad smell just not enough of it. Flavor is also sweet, with a nice creamy body, and a touch of honey. Would be better, but it tastes like it is mixed with a cheap lager, would be interested to see how a regular JW bock would taste if they were to make one. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 21, 2008 Bottle. Pale malt aroma with some honey and a bit of grain. Strongly carbonated, clear-golden body with a rich, creamy white head. Nice malty taste, not too sterile, thought it does resolve to that house cardboard that I so hate. Medium body, rather creamy mf, with a bit of a boozy dry finish. Honey and a touch of grape malts, not really all that bad when style is considered, and certainly not something to spit right back out, but there’s a huge gap between drinkable and satisfying.... | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Wilmington Island, Ga. - Kroger grocery store - 12 oz bottle - part of 12 pack mixer. Dark golden, light copper pour, sticky white head. Faint malty aroma with hints of maple syrup and cotton candy. Flavor has some malty accents with the same syrupy stickiness. Thick enough mouthfeel. Does in a pinch. LinusStick (1844), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 16, 2008 A drinkable heller bock. Aroma was weak but could pick up hints of light malt. Pour was dark gold with a thin white ring for a head. Taste started off light and malty sweet with a light hoppy aftertaste that bitters it in the end. Not a big fan of this style, but this isn’t too bad. Ghett0Gary (23), Belmar, New Jersey, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 You would expect more from a boch, but the pale lager combination results in a normal mainstream American lager taste. A more full look, but same old taste. Not a very attractive beer. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with small white head. malty sweet on the nose. Taste is some sweet malt with maybe a hint of hops in the finish. goes down smooth and isn’t bad for the price but nothing special.
