green label made me think ipa, not at all, sweet, strong, malt very prevalent, a winner for the price

Medium aroma of carmelized malt and grass. Earthy peat notes and graininess. Smokey notes in the finish.

Pours a golden color with a lot of carbonation. I noticed the hops a bit and the alcohol more so. OK mouth feel. Bitter going down with a lingering aftertaste. It wasn’t anything that great.

Nice dark golden color. Head was a little flat and mouthfeel was rather flat also. Slight bitterness in the flavor that finished clean with a light soapy aroma. Overall I’d probably purchase again if the mood struck me.

Though I’m not a big "bock-a-rina," this one is drinkable. Lots of head with a grainy aroma. The taste is malt but saved by some respectable hops. Palate is water with a honey aftertaste. A bit malty, but not bad overall.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a light amber colored beverage with a small white frothy head that was mostly diminishing but left some lacing on the glass. The aroma was sweet ... there were notes of caramel and brown sugar with just a hint of floral hops. The body was medium with soft carbonation and a slightly oily texture. The flavor started out lightly sweet but as it matures on the palate it gradually takes on a subtle bitterness. The finish is moderately long and there is a hint of alcohol warming in the chest at the end.

The body was a dark gold with out a lot of head, not a bad beer, but nothing outstanding.

Dark golden pour. Good balance between bitterness and sweetness on the aroma. Flavor reflected the aroma very well.
