| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2009 Great aroma. I had my nose stuck in the glass more often than drinking. Palate was not as impressive as the aroma and that’s where this beer lost me. aletales (73), , Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 1, 2009 This bock lost some of its head when I opened the bottle. The pour was clear and golden. Seemed to have a good balance of maltiness and hoppiness without a bitter finish. The body seemed seemed a bit light on the palate to me. Before I complain that the beer is not very complex and a bit light for a bock, I need to remember that this craft pack scores at under a dolla a bottle. Maybe this beer needs to move up on some value rating. Bockyhorsey (2556), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2009 12oz. bottle. Decent barley aroma. Golden body with white head. Barley and roaste malts with a medium bittering was a good flavor for me. Leaves a roated toasted grain on the palate a decent brew. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a slightly hazy wheat-colored body topped by a small head of white foam. Nose is malts with a slight citrus sharpness. Medium mouthfeel with a bittersweet touch overall. Palate has a roasted flavor which overcomes the malts’ sweetness, without any hops aftertaste. gws57 (1148), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 24, 2009 Found this in a multi-pack, bottled at the Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Clear, dark golden pour with a lacy white head that dissipated rapidly, malty, apply nose and a mushy fruitiness. Mild finish. A decent beer from one of my favorite medium-size brewers. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2009 My soft spot for the old Genesee brewery has not waned. Dundees Pale Bock Lager was part of a sampler case. Medium bitterness, doughy malt, and caramel sweetness. Craft macro considering the price and brewery its a well done Heller Bock.
