| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Pale amber/gold beer. Aroma is fairly malty. Light sweetness. A little bit earthy and chewy with a fairly clean character. Fairly clean maltiness with a bit of light hoppiness. It’s a decent, non-offensive heller bock. JPDIPSO (4912), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Golden amber color with a moderate off-white head. Earthy malt and floral hops scents. Not a big nose, rather light and unassuming. Lacks malt depth and hops character. Lots of caramel flavors in the front. Some light toasted malt and darker malt qualities in the middle. Darker malt qualities are those that a brew uses to cover the fact that they are doing little to create a real bock in which decoctions are utilized to create a full malt flavor.Rant over. Another American bock. Toss in some darker malt and say that it’s the bottom of the barrel. Tmoney99 (4749), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
