Aroma is dirt and malt, sort of like starbuck’s trash after a heavy rain. Appearance is a ultra small brown head that goes quickly, no lacing. Taste has is a little alcohol with the dirst taste.Finish is wierd ,taste is dry. nick76 (2665), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 6, 2008 The aroma is porter like but weak. There is coffee, toasted malt, and chocolate. The appearance is dark brown with a head that is average. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is OK. Overall it’s a decent porter with an astringent finish. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a small, stringy-lacing, creamy tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet dark malt sugars and burnt toast. Body starts about average with a mild dark caramely malty sweetness and some biscuity doughy flavor, before a milk chocolatey bittersweet finish. A pretty drinkable and smooth beer, but the recipe/brewing could certainly use some tweaking. colts9016 (198), Idaho, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 29, 2008 The pour is a very dark reddish brown. With little head. The nose is dark chocolate, toasted malt and hints of molasses and hops. The taste is more like a stout. I was hoping for a thicker body and a fuller mouth feel. Overall an okay porter. jcwattsrugger (5424), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 27, 2008 12oz bottle-pours a big tan head and black color with red tint. Aroma is dark malt-roasty, cardboard. Taste is dark malt-fake chocolate, secondary acidic, fruit. Artificial sweetener after taste. 2.2 Better when cooler. 2.4 ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Pours a nice off- black color with a light tan head. First sip tasted watery and metallic, but after a few minutes and a few more sips the flavors of chocolate and roasted coffee emerged. Great beer markas101 (566), Fargo, North Dakota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 23, 2008 33 cl bottle, Fargo. Opaque coffee brown colour, foamy unevenly settling head. Faint roasted malt aroma. More full bodied than I expected (after some other Dundee’s from the sampler pack). Bitter and sweet, slightly burnt coffee flavor, long finish. Pretty good. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 7, 2008 I got a carmel smell almost right after pouring. Very dark with a good head though the head diminshed quickly. A bit light bodied for a porter but the taste is smooth. From the aroma I was expecting a more full taste but it wasn’t there. A nice roasted flavor though.
