Pours black, with a relatively decent brown head. Smells of nuts, chocolate, a bit of dark fruit and molasses. Tastes nutty and roasted malt. Very nice dark flavour, and a smooth porter. Very good dark beer! Arayaga2 (999), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Frowsy dog aroma upstages the malt, and there’a a hint o caramel in there somewhere. Roasty and very much porter-like, with all the dark tastes and caramel that might entail. Pitch, pitch black pour. Man, this thing is dark.
Smells sort of like a Hefe-Weizen. Lots of banana aromas to this which sort of threw me off and hurt the aroma scores a bit. I was expecting something darker and richer.
Very good taste. Dark chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts. Everything I expect in a porter.
Overall, a very good solid porter. I was impressed with this more than most people. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA

Pours a deep blackish brown into the glass with a small off white head. Aroma is actually pretty decent with some toasty coffee/toffee like flavors. The taste is pretty damn good for JW Dundee’s. In fact, I’m amazed. Still a little on the thin side when it comes to the palate. Overall, I’m extremely surprised that this is a good beer. Nihon (240), Vernon, Connecticut, USA
