| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 18, 2009 Pours deep brown garnet with a creamy 3 finger chocolate milk head that has somewhat poor retention. Aroma is roast, sweet chocolate, vanilla, a little mild coffee. Flavor is roast, stale chocolate, old coffee and a little char. FInish is ashy, dry and bitter cocoa. Body is really too thin for the flavor profile, somewhat under carbonated. Oscbert (549), Sacramento, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2009 12oz bottle: Pours dark brown, nearly black with a light tan head that quickly disappears. Very faint aroma, some roastiness and dark chocolate present. Taste is very heavy roasted malt flavor with some bitter cocoa tones. Despite the flat look it has a well carbonated, almost creamy mouthfeel. Drinkable, middle of the road Porter. Narnad (720), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Pours a very dark brown with a thin, dense tan head and low carbonation. The aroma has great roasted barley notes with some chocolate. Flavor has a slight bitter start but moves into a semi-sweet caramel and cream flavor middle, ending with a drinking chocolate bite . Beer leaves a great lacing on the glass and mouth feel is great for the style. Overall another beer I would of never thought to seek with the Dundee brand. Braudog (3773), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Oil-black with a big foamy top that slowly gives way to subsiding craters. Light in aroma, this has a moderate cocoa base to it. But it’s so light in character as to barely be noticeable. Moderately thin as well. (#3475, 11/2008)

The aroma sweet dark malt, caramel, and toasted bread. The flavor has more dark malt, the roasted character comes out a bit, bready, and a touch of dark chocolate. Light bitterness in the finish. Fairly drinkable, a touch thin.
