Good lacing along the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee beans. Flavor is decent with more of the roasted malt characteristics along with hints of chocolate and coffee. The mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery. Nice aftertaste.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 24, 2009 DArk Brown pour with a pillowy offwhite head. Aroma is doughy with some malt and candi sugar. Sweet first sip with some light coffee back tones. CAramel malt dominates. Not that great, a little thin and way too candi sweet for a porter imo, but not undrinkable shawnm213 (950), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Nov 11, 2009 Brown and cola like. Smells of sudsy hops. Smells of wet bag with oats like after a good shower. Bitter with a sour aspect. Really light for a porter. Oddly so. Short finish. Really easy to drink. williamherbert (466), Syracuse, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Thick and dark to look at, shiny onf the outside, but opaque. Half finger of short-lived head. Some frostly lace. Looks formidable.
Roasted malt smell; not quite burnt, but darkish. Has hints of dark berries. Has the sweetness of a brown ale with dark roasted porter malt.
The taste is an initial burnt, charred porter malt. It’s followed quickly by a sweetish apologetic fruit basket. Like a burnt, malty brown ale. Halfway between a porter and a brown, with the former’s roasted malt, the latter’s mild sweetness. It’s a nice combo, and becomes more leathery as it warms.
Feel is medium thickness, and kind of milky even. Substantial but not chewy. It’s a really solid offering by Dundee. Drinkable but not thin. A substantial bittersweet brew. deyholla (716), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 27, 2009 Bottle at the Bloomington Beer Festival. Poured a dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma was malty with sweet notes. Flavor had caramel notes from the hops. A bit too sweet for me. Very light on the tongue as well. Not my idea of a Porter. mnurda (434), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
