Pours a somewhat hazy dark brown color with moderate brown head. Taste is nice and sweet but not very complex. A little bitterness noted. Body is kind of flat but sits well on the palate. Watery aftertaste that reminds me of cola. Overall nice beer. sebletitje (1911), Tampa, Florida, USA

pours pours ruby brown with tan head.
Aroma of watery coffee, kind that has been sitting in the open for a while.
Really did not capture the aroma of freshly grinded coffee.
Taste, light bitter coffee palate with malts.
Got overall feel that this was coffee malt extract. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Had on draft at Dunedin Stogies And Stouts. I have got to be honest. This was my least favorite of the evening. Pour was a light orange red. Aroma was faint coffee. The flavor was way off for me. Kind of liked soured, bitter coffee. Just something really off here. I actually poured it out. Compared to all the other wonderful stouts I enjoyed, this one just didnt compete for me. Oakes (8092), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 21, 2009 Bright chestnut. Strong coffee nose with little else. Motel coffee with chocolate syrup added. But you know, it’s better than that sounds. It’s a bit thin, though, and more malt sugars and body would bring out the coffee better. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2009 At brewpub. Color is reddish brown like many coffees but clear. Coffee bean aroma. Overpowering coffee smell covers up the underlying malt. Thin mouthfeel and flavors. The coffee is so intense, the caffeine-intolerant could substitute this in the morning or afternoon. All coffee bean and little complexity, but does manage to be decent and drinkable. Tmoney99 (4728), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2008 Draft at Dunedin. Poured clear brown color with an average fizy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate dark chocolate and roasted coffee aroma. Medium to full bodya smooth texture. Medium to heavy roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is the best of the sampled brews. jcwattsrugger (5308), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 20, 2008 on tap-pours a retaining tan head that laces and dark mahogany color. Aroma is coffee grounds. Taste is coffee grounds/chicory-dark malt, also something else but its hard to identify. Nicely done, Joe would love it, but not my style.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 17, 2007 Draft at Redlight. Clear, thin looking chestnut body. A dense, foamy, cream colored head settles slowly to a thin blanket. Random patches of sheet like lacing decorate the glass. The aroma is pure, unadulterated, dry coffee beans. Nothing more, nothing less. One whiff of this will really wake you up. The flavor is more of the same. Coffee, coffee, and more coffee. Mo complexities. No intricacies. Just......coffee. The mouthfeel is thin and weak. Finishes bitter. This is a boring and one dimensional brew.
