Draught at Redlight Redlight. Shame I had to go all the way to Winter Park to enjoy this beer. Nose of coffee beans, but also tones of tobacco and smoke. Damn, this is powerful. Flavor is pretty much all coffee and tobacco leaves as well, with some creamer and milk chocolate in there also. Creamy palate, medium-full bodied for the style. Finish is lengthy, and like every other aspect of the beer, full of tons of coffee and tobacco. Good stuff, glad I finally got to try it!

Tap at Old Chicago Brandon. Pours a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a two finger light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of coffee. Taste is coffee. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Not very complex but to be able to drink coffee and get drunk at the same time is a beautifull thing.

Tastes like pure coffee beans. Not so much brewed and rich coffee, but just pure, raw coffee material. Not that drinkable overall.

National Rerate Day ’08: On tap at Mellow Mushroom. Pours a reddish brown with a creamy white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted nuts. Pure coffee grounds in the flavor, vanilla, nice roasted quality overall. Roasty, bitter mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Enjoyed this considerably more the second time around.

Draft at Dunedin. Pours black, with a small, creamy light tan head. Holy monster coffee batman! Really not much else to describe in the aroma escept it smelled like an espresso. Maybe the most coffee Ive smelled in a beer. The taste, as you can imagine, was mostly the same. It really tasted like I was drinking coffee, but with some beerish qualitites. I guess it had some light choclate and roasted malts in there too, but all come second fiddle to the coffee, which I guess is what they were going for. Interesting to say the least. i couldnt drink more than one of these.

So original. The beer smells and tastes like the best coffee you ever drank. Rich dark coffee and even a little bit of toffee and chocolate flavors make for a very unique beer.

Draft at Dunedin. I must have had 7 small glasses of this at the Stogies and Stouts festival. Translucent, but for hyperactive carbonation supporting a light beige head. The body is dark mahogany and looks more like furniture polish than beer. Moderate to high levels of fresh coffee in the aroma, very well done. The malt is lightly tart and seems undertoasted, with sugars and light lactose notes. Chocolate powder and toffee are noted. The milky concept fades away with the first sip.Light bitterness, moderate acidity and moderate sweetness all lend to exceptional drinkability. Quality of ingredients could be questionable. Finishes lightly bitter with lingering chocolate and plenty of coffee. Mouthfeel is thin but smooth enough for repeated sips. Still needs work, but a step in the right direction for a brewery that seems to be constantly struggling to get it right.

Draft... Clear, dark ruby ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Thin aroma and flavor with heaps of spent coffee grounds in both. A touch sweet. Medium-bodied and watery with lively carbonation. Short, sweet, coffee finish.

Had it at a bar in Davis Island. Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Has a huge Coffee aroma and flavor. Hints of barley, roasted malts and some spices. Finishes like a cup of coffee.
