Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Dec 10, 2008 Wow, pricey light weight house brew coming in at 5 bones per pint. As usual they serve their brews up too damn cold. This rating is being made without the sugar and cinnamon coated orange wedge pushed onto the rim of the glass. I was instantly curious to find out what sort of flavor flaws they are covering up with the adjunct laden orange wedge. Pours somewhat hazy rusty brown with off white head. The aroma is moderate and is heavy on the cinnamon. Behind the cinnamon are notes of winter spice and a bit of cherry hard candy. This is a really fresh brew and that comes across with bright punctuated flavors notes. I get crystal malts that transition over to roasted malts, nuttiness then highly roasted malts and a touch of coffee. By midway cinnamon and winter spices surface. As the finish approaches notes of brown sugar and some earthy to spicy hops well up amid a touch of pine. Pretty tasty stuff with plenty of flavor.
