Aug 10, 2008 Draft... Clear straw-colored lager with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Orange blossom honey and cereal grains compose the aroma. Full-bodied and velvety with sleepy carbonation. Lots of sweet honey, toffee and pale malts. Spicy hop bitterness provides no real bite... and it should. Good balance. Lengthy bittersweet finish that gradually dries out. I was hoping for Samuel Adams Imperial Pilsner and I got Dogfish Head’s Golden Era instead. Worth noting: DFH’s original Prescription Pils was the bomb!

Mar 10, 2008 Tap. Pours a clear golden with a one finger lasting white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Jan 20, 2008 on tap-pours a big retaining white head that laces and pale yellow color. Aroma is wheat/grain, secondary/faint citrus lemon. Taste is crisp, wheat/grain, secondary citrus lemon/grassy/spicy hops. OK carbonation. Not an over the top Imperial Pilsner, nice.

Mar 20, 2007 Sampled from a keg on 8/26/06: Pours a clear golden with a thin-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet pilsner malt and nice Saaz hoppy presence. Body starts with a nice sweet, viscous pale maltiness and good fresh noble bittering hoppiness. Nicely-balanced and authentic, a good imperial pilsner.
